My Poems Are For No One, Vilhelm Ekelund. 1906.

Translated by Ursula Carroll

My poems are for no one –
for wind that wanders,
for rain that weeps,
my song is like the winds,
that murmur and march
in autumn eve’s darkness
and talks with the earth
and the night and the rain.
